A Woodstock tradition for 29 Summers
New York has its Shakespeare in the Park, and Woodstock has its Shakespeare Festival at the Comeau Property – Woodstock’s Central Park – where there’s always free admission, plenty of room, gorgeous scenery, and professional artistic entertainment for the entire family.
Our open-air, Elizabethan-style stage is located walking distance from downtown Woodstock at the Comeau Property. Designed by Broadway set designer Salvatore Tagliarino. The stage was first built in 1996, with approval by the Woodstock Town Board; it was rebuilt in 2005, aided by a matching grant from the Catskill Watershed Corporation.
